Meet Our Coaches!
Samantha Young
Program Director / Varsity & Green
Samantha Young is an Arizona State University graduate with a Bachelors in Computer Information Systems. This is her third season as part of the Campo Verde cheer program, and she could not be more excited to continue her coaching career as a Coyote. Previously, Samantha was a competitive cheerleader for four years at Poston Butte High School. As a Bronco cheerleader at PBHS, she won a Coed Partner Stunt AIA Championship, a Coed Partner Stunt Arizona State Championship, an AIA State Runner Up, and also got to travel to Orlando, Florida where her and her team advanced to finals at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship. Throughout her years as a competitive cheerleader, Samantha learned that the key to success stemmed from having strong fundamentals in all areas of cheer, including basic technique in stunting, jumps, and motions. With a strong foundation and great technique, athletes are able to progress to higher difficulty more successfully. Teaching these fundamentals and creating a solid foundation is Samantha's goal for Campo Verde's Cheer Program. Through her amazing competitive cheer experiences, Samantha has grown an extraordinary passion for the sport, and she is grateful for the opportunity to begin and grow her coaching career with the Campo Verde Coyotes.
Lauren Sperbeck |
Gianna Bartolomei |
Varsity & Green Squad
Lauren Sperbeck is a Grand Canyon University graduate with a Bachelors in Business Management and a Minor in Marketing. She is now a Social Media Specialist at a marketing firm. She graduated from Campo Verde High School back in 2014 and was a part of their competitive cheer program for all four years. Lauren found her love for the sport back in 2008 and has continued to enjoy it as an athlete, a fan, and now a coach. Throughout her years of being a competitive cheerleader, Lauren has learned that a positive mindset, hard work, and dedication are the three main fundamentals that feed into creating a successful team on and off the mat. Lauren has found that setting goals as a team and individually creates a space for growth, holds athletes accountable, and, most importantly, serves as a reason to celebrate when goals are achieved. Lauren looks forward to making memories, hitting milestones, and being a mentor for these young ladies, all while making an impact on this program. Go Coyotes!

She currently teaches 7th grade mathematics and has been a teacher/cheer coach who is about to begin her fourth year in both! Gianna is a Campo Verde Alumni, graduating class of 2014, and cheered all four years during her time at Campo. While at Campo, she was a part of the first competitive team and learned that the building of foundational skills and trust among a team is the key to success! She strives to be a supportive role model for all her students and athletes while helping them reach their full potential with confidence and joy! Through her experience as a competitive cheerleader and coach, she has learned both sides of the sport and has gained invaluable knowledge and insight on what it takes to develop strong student athletes with a love and passion for the sport! Her goal for Campo Verde’s Cheer program is to help students become confident and strong athletes while having fun and growing in their skill progressively.
